Multi Training Studio Classes

Whether you like fast paced cardio workouts or a more relaxing stretch and flexibility training the MTS offers something for everyone through the extensive range of classes available.

Classes include:

TAI CHI
These sessions will give you the opportunity to learn the Tai Chi method of training with a step by step approach. These sessions are 1 hour, and include deep breathing and relaxation techniques.
• Learn how to improve your breathing
• Relieve stiff aching muscles of the back, neck, shoulders and legs
• Balance your emotions and improve concentration

SWISS BALL TRAINING
Swiss ball training helps to add a new dimension to conventional strength and conditioning programmes by activating stabilisers and neutralisers. This will strengthen your posture, helping avoid injury and back pain. These sessions are 1 hour and you will learn how to use the Swiss Ball correctly and perform a simple warm up through to a conditioning workout and a final stretch.

• Improve balance and co ordination
• increase flexibility
• improve cardiovascular fitness

FREE STYLE STEP
This one hour session will teach you all the base moves for a fun free style step session. It may be basic, but it is not boring! Learn lots of variations of step moves. You will learn correct stepping moves that will help you:
• improve your cardio respiratory fitness
• reshape and lose body fat
• have fun and exercise

BOXING SESSIONS
This one hour session cover skipping, shadow, drills and bags, safety issues, maintaining correct technique, correct strapping, and the proper use of equipment.
You will learn how to defend yourself and achieve a high level of fitness. Excellent cross training for any sport.:
• improve your self confidence
• develop speed and strength
• improve coordination
• increase cardio fitness
• feel better, have more energy

PUMP O/L (Overload)
Learn how to use the barbell with correct form and excellent lifting techniques. Challenge the entire body in this complete full body workout. The session is 1 hour long.
barbell training will:
• Improve strength and muscular endurance
• Tone muscles
• Improve posture
• Improve your self esteem
• Relieve you from stress

CHI BALL
Sessions are limited to6. Each 1 hour session will give you the opportunity to learn step by step the Chi Ball method aromatherapy deep relaxation techniques.
• Learn how to improve your breathing
• Relieve stiff aching muscles of the back, neck, shoulders and legs
• Tone and strengthen your abs and back
• Balance your emotions and improve your concentration

PILATES
Learn the classical method of Pilates training. Pilates movements provide a fitness approach from the inside out. Your body will grow strong and supple, your mind will gain focus and concentration, and you mood will be uplifted.
• Encourages efficiency of movement
• Balances the body with a stretch and strength approach
• Prevents and rehabilitates injury
• Improves mental concentration
• Reduces stress
• Develops discipline
• Increases energy levels

CIRCUIT
These sessions will teach you how to work with cardio equipment, ‘free weights’ and fitstrips. There is a focus with core conditioning and a stretch to finish.
Circuit sessions are great for:
• Targeting different energy systems
• Burning calories at a higher intensity
• Achieving a quick and efficient workout

STRETCH
Relax and release the body in this one hour session, lengthen the spine, open the chest and hips. A great class to prepare you for yoga.

AQUA
Aquatic training has become very popular over the last 18 years. These classes are targeted to seniors, injured, pregnant, overweight, unfit and general population that are looking for a cross training programme where they want a stimulating workout while remaining cool.

  • It is safer on the Joints. - the joints open slightly due to the buoyancy of the water this encourages a freer range of movement - there is less weight for the joints to support
  • Increases the range of movement
  • Warm Water dilates blood vessels at the skin to assist with heat dissipation, this assists our thermoregulatory mechanisms convection and evaporation
  • Depending on the depth of the water and the type of exercise selected there is little D.O.M.S due to the reduced eccentric muscle contraction Training in the water is double concentric
  • Improves the circulatory system due to the hydrostatic pressure, the pressure assists venous return
  • Increased cardiac output and stroke volume
  • Depletion of energy reserves including fat glycogen and ATP
  • Increases central blood volume, to the organs as the circulatory system and the thermoregulatory system are all been assists by the properties of the water
  • Improved breathing and lung capacity

MASSAGE
Take time out to relax and release tension. Enjoy the benefits of a therapeutic massage, followed by stretches that your body needs.
